This notice describes which personal data is processed when you visit this website. It follows the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP).

photo basel GmbH is the controller for the processing of personal data on this website. Full contact details are given in the legal notice.
No cookies, no profiles, no third parties
This website sets no cookies, embeds no external analytics or statistics services, and builds no usage profiles. There is no consent window because there is nothing to consent to.
We do count — but only how often something happens, never who did it. When the page opens and on a few clicks (newsletter opened, date added to calendar, video started, application written), the browser sends a keyword to our own server, which increases a daily counter by one. Only that number is stored: no cookie, no identifier, no IP address, no browser type, no referring page. Two visits by the same person cannot be recognised as such, and a counter leads back to no one. The figures never leave our server.
Links from a newsletter or an advert may carry a campaign keyword, for example ?s=nl-dez. We then also count how many visits came through that campaign — again as a plain number, with no link to a person.
Fonts, images, and videos are served from our own server. No content is loaded from third-party servers, so no unnoticed connection to third parties occurs.
Server logs
When the website is accessed, technical details are logged on the hosting provider’s server: IP address, time, address requested, browser type transmitted, and the previously visited page. These logs serve operation and security, are not combined with other data, and are deleted after a short period. Hosting provider: Hostfactory, Schweiz.
Newsletter
For the newsletter we collect the email address and the box you tick yourself: whether you are an artist or a visitor and collector — both are possible. That answer serves only to send announcements to the right group, so that artists do not receive mail about ticket sales and vice versa. We also note the language of the page you signed up on, so that mail reaches you in your language rather than in all three. If you later choose another language in a message or on the site, that note changes accordingly. All of this is used to send invitations and announcements, and for no other purpose. No name, address or further details are collected.
Delivery runs through Mailjet (Mailjet SAS, 13-13 bis rue de l’Aubépine, 92160 Antony, France), a service of the Sinch group. Addresses are stored on servers within the European Union, where the Swiss Federal Council considers data protection to be adequate.
Sign-up can be withdrawn at any time — through the unsubscribe link in every message or by informal email. After unsubscribing, the address is deleted.
Contact by email
Anyone who writes to us — for instance with an artist application — transmits their name, email address, and the content of the message. We use these details to reply and keep them for as long as the matter requires.
Your rights
You may at any time ask whether and which data we process about you, and request its correction or deletion. An informal email is enough. If a request remains unresolved, you may turn to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes
This notice applies in its published version. If the operation of the website changes — for instance through an online shop — it will be updated.
